Adding Decimals - First Problem

This Term I have been learning Maths. The Maths Activity will be Adding Decimals By Splitting In Parts.

The first question I will be answering is 3.9+6.7.

So I got 3.9+0.1 to make 4.0.

So I have already add 0.1 to 3.9, so then I have subtract 6.7. 6.7-0.1=6.6.

Then answer is 6.6+4.0=10.6.

Onto the second question. 4.8+7.3. 4.8+0.2=5.0.

So I subtract 7.3 to 7.1.

So I add up 5.0+7.1 and the answer is 12.1.
