Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated in the United States America and Canada. It is a day of giving thanks. It is mostly celebrated in America, Canada and other countries around the world.

In 1621 the first thanksgiving was held by the Pilgrims and the Indians. Abraham Lincoln started Thanksgiving. The last Thursday of November Thanksgiving Day was in 1863. That is when it finally became a national holiday.

The countries celebrated thanksgiving was United States America, Canada, Norfolk Island, Liberia and Puerto Rico. Those countries celebrated thanksgiving day but different days. Canada is celebrated every year in October but for the other four countries had celebrated every year in November.  

Canada celebrated October 14th 2013.
Liberia is going to be celebrated 7th November 2013.
Norfolk Island is going to be  celebrated on 27th November 2013.
United States Of America is celebrated on  28th November 2013.

India Cyclone, Pakistan Earthquake, Oarfish Fish

Earlier this week half of a million people in India had to evacuated from threatening cyclone in Eastern India. It was so powerful it blew houses down made of mud and straw. Meanwhile in Pakistan had a major earthquake that was 7.8 magnitude and it made a whole new island with rocky terrain. Pakistan said it was at least 45 people had died. Across the ocean off the southern Californian coast a marine science instructor found the carcass of a 5 meter long oarfish.
